Appeal to ignore Raila calls for demos
Mt Kenya youth have been urged not to heed threats by opposition leader Raila Odinga to demonstrate if Jubilee prosecutes Auditor General Edward Ouko over a Sh100 million expense on office equipment. Mt Kenya Caucus chairman Linford Mutembei spoke at a press conference in Kiambu yesterday. He said youth are often used in demonstrations staged by the opposition. “We ask our fellow youth not to allow themselves to be used by politicians out for personal gain,” Mutembei said. Raila on Monday said he would call for demonstrations if Ouko is arrested.
