COUNTY NEEDS MORE SUPPORT
Dado has appealed to humanitarian organisations and well-wishers to help address the disaster. Already, he said he had been promised support from the Galana Kulalu food security project. Dado said there have been meetings with the Kenya Red Cross, the National Drought Management Authority and the national government. He urged the state to initiate a programme of buying livestock, as they are dying in large numbers. He was accompanied by county assembly majority leader Masha Boru and Garsen MCA Mahmoud Ahmed.
