EACC sleuths to give report on alleged Sh5 billion graft at Moi University
EACC investigators will this week hand over a report on their initial investigations into graft allegations at Moi University, where close to Sh5 billion is suspected to have been misused.
More than 40 top managers and employees have been questioned over corruption allegations at the institution, where a row over the position of Vice Chancellor is yet to be resolved.
Acting VC Laban Ayiro met the EACC officials severally during the probe.
The initial report will be forwarded to EACC chief executive Halake Waqo, who gave the investigators three weeks to hand in the first report.
Part of the money embezzled includes Sh600 million belonging to the Moi University Pension Scheme. EACC senior deputy director Enock Otiko said the money was part of the ongoing investigation.
