BRIDGE ACADEMIES HONOURED
The Bridge International Academies has won the 2016 Global Shared Values Award for making education available to needy children, especially in informal settlements. The selection committee from the Global Action Platform and KPMG International made the announcement on Friday. The Global Shared Values Award recognises major corporations and SMEs that address problems through business strategies that create Shared Values. It also recognises strategies to improve the quality of life and build prosperity. Bridge International Academies have 100,000 learners countrywide, with 405 primary and nursery schools. In collaboration with KPMG International, the award was presented by the Global Action Platform. Bridge International Academies was selected by an international committee of corporate and academic leaders based on metrics developed with KPMG International, Global Action Platform, and the Shared Values- Initiative. The award was first won by an American company, Mars Incorporated in 2014.
