ODM to cut nomination fees for women aspirants
ODM will reduce nomination fees for women so that more women are elected to Parliament and county assemblies next year. Party chairman John Mbadi (pictured) said this will give women a fair advantage in all elective positions. “The plan of ODM in implementing the two-thirds gender rule is to provide the required space to ensure that majority of our women are elected,” the Suba MP told the Star. The party also plans to construct a nomination list starting with women so more women get the posts.
