LAND INJUSTICES HURT JP VOTE HUNT
Yet-to-be-resolved historical injustices are frustrating Jubilee’s efforts to win over voters. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have commissioned projects and won over some Cord loyalists, but land still remains a thorn in the flesh. Pundits say huge swathes of grabbed land are still in the hands of state officials and until they are reclaimed, the duo will not attract enough support. Jubilee is banking on infrastructure projects, parastatal appointments and issuance of title deeds to woo voters.
