Jubilee’s job ‘is to steal’ from the taxpayers

The Star (Kenya) - - Counties Western -

The Jubilee government’s job is to steal from taxpayers, Mt Elgon MP John Serut has said.

Serut accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto of watching graft escalate in government as Kenyans are robbed of millions of shillings.

He said the most saddening part is that the money being stolen is not Jubilee’s, but the citizens’.

“This money belongs to wananchi, who are overburdened by paying taxes in every thing they do,” Serut said in his constituency at the weekend.

The MP urged Mt Elgon residents not to reelect Uhuru and Ruto because they have failed Kenyans by not honouring 2013 campaign promises.

“Kenyans are tired of graft reports every now and then, starting with Eurobond, NYS, standard gauge railway, and now the Health docket’s alleged irregularities,” Serut said.

“At this rate, Jubilee leaders should come out clearly and tell Kenyans they have failed Kenyans terribly.”

The MP urged residents not to allow Jubilee get away with stealing.
