Trade min­is­ter woos Turk­ish in­vestors into Kenya econ­omy

Trade Cab­i­net Sec­re­tary Adan Mo­hammed has called on Turk­ish traders to in­vest in Kenya to en­joy in­cen­tives it of­fers, in­clud­ing pref­er­en­tial ac­cess to world mar­kets. The CS said Kenya is strate­gi­cally lo­cated on the com­mer­cial gate­way of Sub-Sa­ha­ran Africa mak­ing it an ideal in­vest­ment des­ti­na­tion. Speaking in Is­tan­bul, Turkey, yes­ter­day dur­ing the TurkeyAfrica eco­nomic and busi­ness fo­rum, Adan said Kenya en­joys free trade with EAC, Comesa and SADC, com­mand­ing a mar­ket of more than 600 mil­lion con­sumers. “We have a di­ver­si­fied grow­ing econ­omy with op­por­tu­ni­ties in man­u­fac­tur­ing, agro­pro­cess­ing and con­struc­tion among oth­ers,” he said.
