A nominated MCA in Kirinyaga has said he was attacked and injured by a member of the county assembly public service board.

Speaking outside the assembly on Wednesday, George Kagori said Erick Muchina attacked him at the parking.

He said Muchina hit him with a hard object in the face. Kagori reported the matter at the Kerugoya police station.

He was treated at the Kerugoya Lev- el Four Hospital and obtained a P3 form. A police officer at the Kerugoya station told the Star they are investigating the matter.

Kagori said he may have been attacked for criticising Governor Joseph Ndathi’s administration with five colleagues. Mutithi MCA Jinaro Njemumo said they will petition the assembly’s Powers and Privileges Committee to sack Muchina.
