All primary schools to get electricity New donkey abattoir in Naivasha
Energy CS Charles Keter has said all primary schools will be connected with electricity before the end of this month.
Keter said his ministry has adequate funds to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated time and in line with the Jubilee government’s agenda.
The national government promised to ensure all learning institutions have power ahead of the digital literacy programme launch across the country. The second donkey slaughterhouse has been opened in Naivasha.
Star Brilliant is located in Kinamba trading centre, 10km from Naivasha town. It has a capacity of slaughtering more than 200 donkeys every day.
Naivasha subcounty veterinary officer Miriam Nakeel praised the management for the high standards of production. The Kenya Veterinary Association has said donkey numbers have decreased as they are targeted by slaughterhouses.
