All pri­mary schools to get elec­tric­ity New don­key abattoir in Naivasha

En­ergy CS Charles Keter has said all pri­mary schools will be con­nected with elec­tric­ity be­fore the end of this month.

Keter said his min­istry has ad­e­quate funds to en­sure the project is com­pleted within the stip­u­lated time and in line with the Ju­bilee govern­ment’s agenda.

The na­tional govern­ment promised to en­sure all learn­ing in­sti­tu­tions have power ahead of the dig­i­tal lit­er­acy pro­gramme launch across the coun­try. The sec­ond don­key slaugh­ter­house has been opened in Naivasha.

Star Bril­liant is lo­cated in Ki­namba trad­ing cen­tre, 10km from Naivasha town. It has a ca­pac­ity of slaugh­ter­ing more than 200 don­keys ev­ery day.

Naivasha sub­county vet­eri­nary of­fi­cer Miriam Na­keel praised the man­age­ment for the high stan­dards of pro­duc­tion. The Kenya Vet­eri­nary As­so­ci­a­tion has said don­key num­bers have de­creased as they are tar­geted by slaugh­ter­houses.
