FOUR COUNTIES MUST BE SUSTAINED FOR EVERY MEAL
In 2013, the government fed 2.5 million Kenyans who were in need of relief food, but according to Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, the number has declined to the current 1.3 million Kenyans facing starvation. The situation is acute because out of the 23 counties, 14 require government support for at least one meal a day. Four counties must be sustained for every meal in the coming four months. In a normal situation, the country’s food requirement is 30,000 bags every month.
