Ruto’s support for Mohamed in AU job is welcome

The Star (Kenya) - - Voices -

Deputy President William Ruto was in Chad to meet President Idriss Déby in a shuttle diplomacy campaign to seek support for Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed to become African Union Commission chairperson. It is expected that the DP will tour six more countries in West Africa to seek her support. This comes days after President Uhuru Kenyatta last week officially launched Mohamed’s bid. This is a good initiative because Amina Mohamed has done well at the Foreign Affairs docket and she deserves the AU top job based on her qualifications.
