Jim Chuchu is a Kenyan film director, photographer, singersongwriter and visual artist. He first came to the limelight as a member of local music group ‘Just A Band’ and subsequently as director of banned Kenyan LGBT film ‘Stories of Our Lives’.

His current exhibition ‘The Bones Remember’ opened at the Alliance Francaise in Nairobi on Thursday evening. It explores non-Christian spiritual rituals; their absence due to the unquestioned religious space and their purpose in contemporary African society.

In attendance were The Nest Collective’s Sunny Dolat and Dr Njoki Ngumi as well as financial adviser Arno Fritz.
