Don’t visit leaders, hopefuls’ homes, ODM officials urged

Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has warned ODM officials against meeting elected leaders and aspirants in their homes. He criticised some officials for using their positions for personal gains. Midiwo spoke on Monday in his constituency. He urged all officials and members to follow party rules. Midiwo said officials must hold the highest level of integrity and should never show bias against some hopefuls. He said visiting leaders or aspirants breed disquiet among members. “Such events trigger unnecessary endorsements, hence killing the spirit of free and fair nominations,” Midiwo said. He accused Governor Cornell Rasanga of meeeting officials in his home to woo them to support his reelection bid.
