My life is in danger, says Homa Bay Water chief officer
A Homa Bay county executive member has recorded statement with police over alleged death threats. Water chief officer Merylin Agwa said goons have been trailing her for the past two weeks. “Some strange youths have been monitoring my movements. They follow me wherever I go. I fear for my life,” she said. Agwa said her car was hijacked on Saturday and later found in a ditch in Mirogi, Ndhiwa subcounty. “I was lucky I was never in that car when they hijacked it,” she said. Agwa urged the police to speed up investigations to ensure culprits are apprehended. On Monday, Central Karachuonyo MCA Julius Gaya said in Homa Bay town that some goons are plotting to kill the chief officer.
