Court stops probe of 13 reps for alleged misconduct during Kidero impeachment
A judge has blocked the anti-graft commission from investigating the conduct of 13 Nairobi MCAs.
High Court judge Roselyne Aburili gave temporary orders stopping both the investigation and summonses, pending determination of a judicial review case they filed. She directed the matter be mentioned on December 15.
Her order arose out of an application filed by the 13 challenging their investigations and possible prosecution over their conduct during the tabling of a motion to impeach Governor Evans Kidero on September 29. They sued the EACC.
The MCAs are Alexina Moody, Catherine Opiyo, Daniel Oria, Elizabeth Manyala, Florence Atembo, Gari Maurice, Joyce Bocha, Ken Ngondi, Peter Imwatok, Peter Owera, Rose Kula, Tabitha Ndigirigi and Wilfred Odallo.
