MP records statement on militia rhetoric
Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno on Tuesday recorded a statement with the DCI in Kilgoris town over threats to form a militia group.
Trans Mara DCIO David Njogu said Ng’eno allegedly issued the threats on October 29 at Sachangwan trading centre in his constituency. He allegedly threatened to form a militia group to counter the Changina Youth Ambassadors.
“The MP came here to record a statement over two issues; the threat to form a militia group to counter a group which he claims has been disrupting his meetings; and as a complainant over threats to his life,’’ Njogu said.
Ng’eno arrived at Trans Mara West police headquarters accompanied by his supporters.
After making his statement, he addressed journalists outside the headquarters. The legislator urged the police to arrest members of the Changina Youth Ambassadors, led by Victor Kiprotich, alias Sonko.
