Raila’s endgame is to reject poll and spark chaos

The Star (Kenya) - - Voices -

Sometimes back, a key ally oo ODM leader Raila Odinga was quoted as saying his boss is only left with a single bullet — in regard to the next general election. The message was very clear that if Raila loses in 2017, he does not stand any other chance of vying for President. The ally cited his advance d age as one reasons that would prompt him to hang up his boots. Raila has also made wild claims that Jubilee plans to rig the elections. He is on record saying he won’t accept a rigged election, and he will not go back to the people and say the poll has been stolen. As an observer, I wish to make one thing very clear. Such remarks are totally misleading and designed to incite Kenyans against the government. The endgame is to prepare his supporters psychologically to reject the poll outcome and ignite a wave of political violence in 2017. He is using a strategy to portray President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government as weak.
