KABERUKA IS FIT FOR HIS NEW ROLE AS CHAIR­MAN

For­mer African De­vel­op­ment Bank pres­i­dent Don­ald Kaberuka, now Cen­tum In­vest­ments Group , is a Rwan­dese. He serves as vis­it­ing fel­low for the In­sti­tute of De­vel­op­ment Stud­ies of Sus­sex Univer­sity in the UK and Cen­tre for Global De­vel­op­ment. He is also the African Union high representative for the peace fund and a mem­ber of the World Eco­nomic Fo­rum among other high-pro­filed jobs largely on ad­vi­sory ca­pac­ity. Kaberuka was the Fi­nance min­is­ter in Rwanda and Rwan­dese gov­er­nor for the In­ter­na­tional Mon­e­tary Fund and World Bank be­tween 1997 and 2005. Cen­tum chief ex­ec­u­tive James Mwo­ria, in a fi­nan­cial per­for­mance state­ment, said “project de­vel­op­ment ac­tiv­i­ties are un­der­way in ed­u­ca­tion and health­care sec­tors”.
