City partners with Chinese embassy, 3 groups to upgrade Kilimani police station
The Nairobi government has partnered with four organisations to overhaul Kilimani police station for Sh500 million.
The partners are the National Police Service, the Chinese Embassy, the Kilimani Project Foundation and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance Foundation.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet yesterday said the station will be a model for East Africa.
“The master plan shows the station will be developed on the existing five acres. Modern facilities will be developed in two phases,” he said.
Phase One will cost Sh300 million and the second stage will cost Sh200 million. County secretary Robert Ayisi said, “We are delighted to partner with the National Police Service in this project. It will go a long way in improving the lives of officers.”
