Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan is spending extra time acting as an ambassador for the club where he made such a name for himself.

Keegan, who is revered at Anfield as one of their greatest players, is now being used on a regular basis for commercial duties with sponsors and for other matchday activities. Liverpool shirt sponsors Standard Chartered are especially keen for Keegan to be in attendance at their events.

Keegan had a contract last season with TV channel beIN Sport, based in Doha, to be one of the main pundits for their blanket Premier League coverage led by Richard Keys and Andy Gray.

But Keegan didn’t want to commit himself this term due to his Liverpool role being significantly expanded.
