Ger­man re­frig­er­a­tion firm bets big on Kenya, opens an of­fice

Ger­many-owned Bitzer, a global gi­ant in re­frig­er­a­tion and air con­di­tion­ing tech­nol­ogy, has opened a sales of­fice in Nairobi tar­get­ing the grow­ing whole­sale and re­tail ser­vices sec­tor. The of­fice will serve the East African mar­ket. Biter’s chief sales and mar­ket­ing of­fi­cer Gianni Par­lanti said the firm is eye­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties in flori­cul­ture and hor­ti­cul­ture, meat and fish pro­cess­ing, restau­rant chains, cater­ing and dairy prod­ucts. “Bitzer has known for some time that Kenya is one of Africa’s most im­por­tant markets,” Par­lanti said.“With the open­ing of Bitzer Kenya of­fice, delivery of goods will now be more con­ve­nient and faster since it will be di­rectly from Ger­many and not im­ported through Dubai as be­fore.”
