Withdrawal of KDF from UNMISS is not a good idea for us

The Star (Kenya) - - News Business -

I support Deputy President William Ruto when he tells off the opposition leaders not to politicise national security and military issues. This is against the backdrop of the order by President Uhuru Kenyatta to pull troops out of the UN Mission in South Sudan. Constitutionally, it is the discretion of the President and the Commander-in-chief of the Defence Forces to make such decisions. However, these decisons should not jeopardise our diplomatic engagements. Ours is a developing country and may need financial or technical assistance from the UN.
