Uganda champ for this week’s Guru Nanak Rally
Multiple Ugandan champion Ronald Ssebuguzi has entered this weekend’s KCB Guru Nanak Rally. The Ugandan driver will be navigated by Leon Ssenyange in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10 group N car.
“We are looking forward to the Guru Nanak. It’s been a busy week because immediately after Jinja Rally, we head to Kenya for their season-ender. It will be nice to taste the Kenyan opposition and we are all psyched up and looking forward to the KNRC, which has many competitive cars and machinery,” Sse- buguzi’s co-driver, Ssenyange said. Ssebuguzi clinched his third Uganda national rally championship title in 2014 despite finishing behind the crew of Omar Mayanja and Leon Ssenyange at the Independence Rally.
The Ugandan speed merchant, who won his second Ugandan rally championship title in 2009, hopes to try his hand on the Kenyan competition, which is laden with high-tech rally machines. Ssebuguzi was in Jinja over weekend to pursue his second win of the season in Uganda’s season closer.
