The Star (Kenya) - - Politics -

The decision to deploy peace support personnel for international and regional missions is solely made by the National Security Council. The NSC advises the President. After the President’s approval, the National Assembly’s must approve. The request for parliamentary approval is ordinarily done through motions moved by the majority leaders. Peacekeepers are deployed after rigorous three-month training in peacekeeping operations, international and humanitarian law and the culture, politics and situation
