NYS not the cure for jobless youth, don’t depend on it

The Star (Kenya) - - News -

Four years after the 2013 general election, the youth agenda is still pegged to the NYS programme. This is despite the fact that thousands of youths are university graduates who have qualities that if put to use will boost the country’s economy. Whereas the NYS is a good programme in tapping and training skilled labour, the youth agenda must not be limited to it. There are so many youths who have innovative plans that if assisted to execute could even create more jobs. It is wrong to assume the solution to unemployment lies with the NYS. It does not.
