Makueni boss will be from Wiper after next polls — Museo
The Makueni county government will be headed by a Wiper governor after the 2017 polls, woman representative Rose Museo has predicted. The statement yesterday comes at a time incumbent Kivutha Kibwana is under immense pressure from senior Wiper politicians to fold the party and join Wiper. Museo said Wiper is in talks with Kibwana. “It doesn’t matter whether it’s Kibwana or anybody else,” she said in Kibwezi. “If he doesn’t join us, then it will be unfortunate for him.” Wiper chairman David Musila and Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama have urged small parties in Ukambani to fold up and Join Wiper to give the party more bargaining power in Cord. Museo hinted at running for the county’s top job.
