Makueni boss will be from Wiper af­ter next polls — Museo

The Makueni county gov­ern­ment will be headed by a Wiper gov­er­nor af­ter the 2017 polls, wo­man rep­re­sen­ta­tive Rose Museo has pre­dicted. The state­ment yes­ter­day comes at a time in­cum­bent Kivutha Kib­wana is un­der im­mense pres­sure from se­nior Wiper politi­cians to fold the party and join Wiper. Museo said Wiper is in talks with Kib­wana. “It doesn’t mat­ter whether it’s Kib­wana or any­body else,” she said in Kib­wezi. “If he doesn’t join us, then it will be un­for­tu­nate for him.” Wiper chair­man David Musila and Machakos Se­na­tor John­son Muthama have urged small par­ties in Ukam­bani to fold up and Join Wiper to give the party more bar­gain­ing power in Cord. Museo hinted at run­ning for the county’s top job.
