Kenyan students to take part in global tourism research fete
WEITERE MWITA/ Kenya is among 10 countries selected to participate at the 2016 student research competition by the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership in France. The studies are aimed at strengthening tourism. Some 20 secondary school and vocational students have been selected from a pool of 2,000 entries to present their research findings at the GTTP’s annual student-teacher conference in Nice, between December 2 and 3. They will discuss how heritage tourism can attract more visitors and enhance the tourist experience. “They are required to explore and reflect upon topics important to long-term development,” GTTP advisory board chair Michel Taride said.
