Five al Shabaab suspects sneak into Malindi, NIS warns of possible attacks
Security agents at the Coast yesterday issued a terror alert following leaked information of possible al Shabab attacks.
A NISreport warns of possible attacks in Malindi in Kilifi county and Tana River and Kitui counties.
Initial investigations linked the attack to a group called Jaysh Ayman, a faction of al Shabaab that operates in Boni Forest, Lamu county.
The report seen by the Star indicates that five terror suspects arrived in Malindi on November 7 in aToyota Prado.
The suspects include group leader Shamid Ahmed, Abdula Alhdi, Aisha Alhadi , Mohammed and Rashid are believed to have sneaked into the country from Somalia after paramilitary training . Police have circulated their details and registration number of the vehicle to all security agents.
