Wiper primaries will be fair, 2017 aspirants told

The Star (Kenya) - - Counties Eastern -

A top Wiper official in Mwingi North, Kitui, has scoffed at threats by some aspirants to quit the party for alleged lack of fairness in primaries.

Mwingi North subcounty Wiper chairman John Makau has said there will be no manipulation of results at the primaries.

“Speculation about preferred Wiper candidates is just wishful thinking. Those issuing the threats are giving an excuse to execute their long-held plans to decamp,” Makau told the Star on the phone yesterday.

He was responding to last weekend’s position by Tharaka MCA Samuel Ikunga that he was ready to quit Wiper because MCAs feel threatened.
