100 golfers meet at El­doret Club for the AAR Chal­lenge

AAR Cor­po­rate Chal­lenge this week­end at the Par 71 El­doret Club has at­tracted over 100 golfers. The tour­ney will also fea­ture low-hand­i­cap golfers, who are ex­pected to pro­vide stiff com­pe­ti­tion in the ‘Home of Cham­pi­ons’.

Also ex­pected to grace the event, will be three top ju­nior play­ers among them 14-year-old Rishab Sa­goo, 15-year-old Aman Gu­jral and 16-yearold Sahil Ag­gar­wal.

The AAR Chal­lenge is ex­pected to be­come a full golf series early next sea­son and will visit var­i­ous top clubs across the coun­try.

“Our de­ci­sion to spon­sor golf is in line with our well­ness cam­paign that seeks to en­cour­age in­di­vid­u­als to take con­trol of their health and well be­ing by em­brac­ing all pil­lars of well­ness in­clud­ing phys­i­cal, oc­cu­pa­tional, in­tel­lec­tual, so­cial, emo­tional and spir­i­tual well­ness,” said Caro­line Munene, AAR In­surance Kenya manag­ing di­rec­tor.

This week­end’s event will fea­ture golfers from El­doret and neigh­bour­ing clubs Nandi Bears and Kakamega as well as staff and guests drawn from other clubs across the coun­try.

Among the golfers to watch dur­ing the event in­clude hand­i­cap 5 An­drew Ch­el­ogo, who will be look­ing to chal­lenge the likes of Van­deep Sa­goo and hand­i­cap 7 Jack Tuwei.

The ladies cat­e­gory will fea­ture top golfers led by Jane Koech who should be a hard nut to crack in the one-day event.

Club res­i­dent pro­fes­sional Boni­face Simwa said play­ers have been prac­tic­ing on the course in an­tic­i­pa­tion of some su­per golf this week­end.
