Khan prom­ises good re­sult in KNRC fi­nal

BY SAM­SON ATEKA / Oilibya Rac­ing youth­ful driver Farhaaz ‘Fazi’ Khan is de­ter­mined to up­set the ap­ple-cart in the KCB Guru Nanak Rally that will serve as the fi­nal Kenya Na­tional Rally series leg in Naivasha this week­end. The 28-year-old, who is spon­sor­ship by Oilibya, said the sea­son closer will serve as the launch­ing pad to show­case his tal­ent es­pe­cially af­ter pre­vi­ously win­ning the clas­sic cat­e­gory as a navigator.

“I can’t wait to brush shoul­ders with driv­ers who ven­tured into the sport be­fore me,” said Khan, who has in the past grap­pled with the mis­for­tune of re­tire­ment.

The nephew of leg­endary driver As­lam Khan, will face off with high-pro­filed names in the KNRC Di­vi­sion 1 cat­e­gory, with the likes of Onkar Rai, Ar­man­raaj Rai, Izhar Mirza, Jas­meet Channa, Te­jveer Rai and Den­nis Mwenda. The young­ster has, how­ever, in­di­cated that he is fo­cused and there is no room for er­ror.
