Ahadi Kenya launches Sh15m food programme
The Ahadi Kenya Trust has launched a Sh15 million feeding programme targeting vulnerable members during the festive season in 10 counties.
Ahadi chief executive Stanley Kamau said 10,000 households will benefit in each county through the programme called ‘Chakula Kwa Wote’.
He said his organisation has partnered with the Lotto Kenya Foundation in the programme. “We want to feed vulnerable Kenyans before Christmas. These people will include the orphans, the aged, the sick and people living with disability,” Kamau said.
He spoke on Friday in Kamatongu, Nyeri county, during the launch of the programme. Kamau said they will also visit Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kwale, Kajiado and Narok, among other counties. Lotto Kenya Foundation CEO Brian Waluchio said the foundation assists in health, sports and education.
