Muchai mur­der trial ad­journed un­til De­cem­ber 9

The hear­ing of a case in which seven peo­ple are ac­cused of killing for­mer Ka­bete MP Ge­orge Muchai his two body­guards and driver was yes­ter­day ad­journed un­til De­cem­ber 6.

Trial judge James Waki­aga put off the case as he was also en­gaged in an­other long hear­ing.

Mar­garet Njeri and Raphael Gachii, alias Kim, Ki­mani Any­onyi, alias Musti, Stephen Asiliva, alias Chokore, Erick Is­abwa, alias chair­man, Jane Wan­jiru, alias Shiro, and Si­mon Gichamba have de­nied the mur­der charges.

All the ac­cused also face sev­eral vi­o­lent rob­bery charges be­fore the Mil­i­mani chief mag­is­trate’s court.

At the High Court, they are ac­cused of killing Muchai, his two guards and po­lice con­sta­bles Sa­muel Ka­likia and Sa­muel Matanta and driver Stephen Wam­bugu on the night of Fe­bru­ary 6 and 7, 2015, on Keny­atta Av­enue, Nairobi.
