ICAEW urges accountants to uphold integrity to curb graft

The Star (Kenya) - - News Business -

Chartered accountants should uphold their integrity and play a central role in helping fight corruption in Kenya, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales has said. According to ICAEW, which has integrated ethics into all sections of the ACA qualification, the public, customers and clients expect businesses, organisations and individuals to act with integrity. “The fight against fraud begins at the training stage. No one can call themselves a chartered accountant unless they can demonstrate that they act to the highest ethical standards at all times,” ICAEW director Middle East, Africa, South Asia Michael Armstrong said.
