Letting counties manage healthcare bad for our health
The biggest mistake we all made with this devolution experiment was to devolve the healthcare function. The average Kenyan is suffering due to poor health services in public hospitals. The deaths in these facilities are a common occurrence. We have conveniently been sucked into the now-normal corruption and tribal shenanigans at the county level. It is high time to asses and evaluate the loopholes that are there, some costing us billions of shillings. In less than a week the medics are going to down their tools. These are issues we must fix.
