Party hopping a sin, but a pardonable one, Kalonzo tells MPs at prayer breakfast

The Star (Kenya) - - Counties Eastern -

Party hopping politicians are sinners, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said. “What do you call someone who is elected on one party and jumps to another party in-between?” he said.

Kalonzo was addressing Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana on Monday at a prayer breakfast organised for all leaders by the Makueni government at ACK Boarding Primary School in Wote town.

He said, however, party hopping is a forgivable sin. Kalonzo urged politicians to live in harmony and be guided by Christian values.

Kibwana said he has forgiven those who had hurt him and asked those he has hurt to forgive him too. Mathioya MP Clement Wambugu, who heads the National Assembly’s prayer breakfast meetings, urged other counties to follow Makueni’s example.
