Don’t interfere with IEBC, Ababu urges politicians
Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba has urged politicians to stop meddling in the affairs of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, for it to do its work properly.
Speaking to the Star in his Magoye residence on Monday, he said Kenyans expect the IEBC to have ample time to prepare itself for the elections. Namwamba said citizens expect a free and fair election.
He criticised the panel formed to select new IEBC commissioners for re-advertising the chairperson position. Meanwhile, the Labour Party of Kenya leader condemned the disruption of Cord leader Raila Odinga’s rally at Shibale in Mumias, Kakamega county, last Friday. He urged politicians not to incite people.
