Conservation and education key in building a country
In Ukambani, Nyakach and other regions, KenGen continues to plant trees in schools and other public places, an initiative started in 2010. KenGen has also connected water pipes to dry areas of the Eastern region, which has helped save people’s time . Now they don’t walk long distances to fetch water. The values that KenGen is bringing to Kenya’s development are not only energy, but also education empowerment and environmental conservation. These are the most effective channels to building a strong nation by changing the mindset of people towards conservation.
