Doctors’ walkout costs lives, talks urgently needed
The doctors and nurses strike is uncalled for, against humanity and must be condemned by all. Patients are dying since they have been left unattended, and there are no doctors to attend to those being brought in. This should have been averted if the medics adhered to their professional ethics and code of conduct. They should instead use proper channels to resolve their grievances. Negotiations are an alternative. It is time the players in the health sector came together to come up with an amicable solution to avoid more deaths.
