July 11 is World Pop­u­la­tion Day. On the oc­ca­sion of this day a sem­i­nar on the theme of “In­vest­ing in Young Peo­ple” took place in the Tae­dong­gang Diplo­matic Club in Py­ongyang, the Demo­cratic Peo­ple’s Repub­lic of Korea.

It was at­tended by of­fi­cials from pub­lic health sec­tor, min­istries and na­tional agen­cies, pub­lic or­ga­ni­za­tions and of­fi­cers from the coun­try of­fices for the DPRK of UNFPA, WHO and other in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions.

Speak­ers at the sem­i­nar men­tioned on the ne­ces­sity to pro­tect the rights of young peo­ple and their univer­sal re­pro­duc­tive health.
