Orphans move to new homes

The Pyongyang Times - - The Pyongyang Times - By Jong Sun Bok PT

The Wonsan Baby Home and Orphanage built cosily and distinctively in the port city were inaugurated on June 1, International Children’s Day.

Choe Thae Bok, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, addressing the opening ceremony, said that the erection of the stylish Wonsan Baby Home and Orphanage on the picturesque east coast is another heartwarming event adding lustre to the era of the Workers’ Party in which song We Are the Happiest in the World is loudly sung under the benevolent rays of the sun.

He referred to the fact that supreme leader Kim Jong Un personally proposed newly building baby home, orphanage and orphan’s primary and middle schools in Wonsan and visited their construction sites on several occasions to give meticulous guidance and take benevolent measures.

He emphasized that nurses and teachers should become true parents and good educators of orphans to bring them up brightly and healthily.

Children cut the inauguration tape which was stretched by soldier builders and officials of the baby home and orphanage.

Receiving warm congratulation and applause of participants, they entered the home of love.

The childcare facilities were enlivened by the laughter of the children who were fascinated by their homes of happiness in which all conditions and environments needed for upbringing, education and edification and living are fully provided at the top level.

Seeing the happy children stamping their feet at the smart children’s palace resemblant to a fairy world, the nurses, teachers and officials were convinced once again that the future of Songun Korea would be brighter and more prosperous in the benevolent embrace of supreme leader Kim Jong Un who brings rosy future and beautiful dream of children across the country into full bloom.

The children gave a performance in reflection of their great joy of growing healthily in the embrace of the leader.

That day officials of the Party and government organs and relevant sectors visited the childcare facilities to congratulate the children.
