Righteousness

The Global Digest (English) - - FRONT PAGE -

Righteousness is one of the most important things in Christian life. Christians believe we can have freedom or eternal life forever, only through righteousness. Righteousness is morality and holiness as representation of God’s character.

And “to righteousness (Rom. 6:18), can be called freedom, and the good of men (I Cor. 9:1-23, 10:23-33).”24 Further, “the believer’s freedom in Christ does not result in sin but issues in good works (1 Pet. 2:15, 16).”25

Righteousness is “to pursue righteousness of life in full submission of life to the will of God. Righteousness will lead to persecution by some (Matt 5:10), but they will become disciples and praise the Father in heaven (Matt 5:16).”26 “Righteousness is truly the will of God, the teaching of Jesus.”27 The Freedom reflects the righteousness (Rom 6:18).

In freedom land, “the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever” Ps 37:29. A righteous man whom God see perfect, Job said, “righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe and my turban” (Job 29:14). Also Peter said, “a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness” (2 Pet 3:13).
