Civil Society

The Global Digest (English) - - FRONT PAGE -

Civil society is an organization, which formed by civilian. For example, it can be a church-based or labor-based group. Religion and culture - based groups popularly make up civil society around the world. Moreover, when state actors fail to implement basic rights, non-state actors such as churches can still support smaller societies. Non-state actors can also act as a check against state actors when they faced critical situations. Therefore, religion- and culture-based institutions are very important for the support of civil society.
