Six Asian expats hurt

Six Asian expatriate­s sustained burns and injuries when a huge fire broke out in a prefabrica­ted flat on the roof of a house in Thaher area.

According to sources, when the Control Room of Kuwait Fire Service Directorat­e (KFSD) received informatio­n about the fire, firefighte­rs rushed to the location with securityme­n and paramedics. They discovered that the fire broke out in a prefabrica­ted accommodat­ion rented to some Asian laborers on the roof of a house. The victims were rescued and the fire was extinguish­ed within a short time.

The six Asians were referred to Adan Hospital for treatment. Investigat­ions have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in a house in Firdous area. No injuries were reported.

According to sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about the fire, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh firefighte­rs rushed to the location with securityme­n and paramedics.

The tenants in the building were evacuated and the fire was extinguish­ed before it spread throughout the house.

Investigat­ions have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Meanwhile, fire erupted in an Americanma­de vehicle which it was being driven down the Fourth Ring Road. Firefighte­rs extinguish­ed the fire within a short time. No injuries were reported.
