Kuwaiti grabs 3rd place in Taiwan

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24, (KUNA): Kuwait’s water ski team has clinched advanced places in the Taiwan’s Open Cup for Water Ski.

Kuwaiti skier Khaled Al-Awadhi grabbed the third place in the cable wakeboard competitio­ns of the Asian internatio­nal event, concluded on Sunday, Kuwait Sea Sport Club (KSSC) said in a statement Monday.

Also, Kuwaiti skier Sheikha Al-Nouri ranked fourth, while her fellow countrymen Abdullah Al-Amiri, in his first ever internatio­nal participat­ion, came fifth, and Ahmad Al-Aamer was the sixth, tit added.

“I came back to bring a championsh­ip to our city,” James said. “I knew what I was capable of doing. I knew I had the right ingredient­s and the right blueprint to help this franchise get to a place that we’ve never been. That’s what it was all about.”
