Ex­pat hurt in mishap:

An Egyp­tian was rushed to Far­waniya Hospi­tal as he suf­fered from a frac­ture in his right foot and bruises in dif­fer­ent parts of his body when a ve­hi­cle knocked him down along the in­ter­sec­tion of Ish­biliya and Re­hab, says Al-Seyas­sah.

Se­cu­ri­ty­men and paramedics rushed to the lo­ca­tion af­ter the Op­er­a­tions Unit in the In­te­rior Min­istry re­ceived in­for­ma­tion about the ac­ci­dent. They re­ferred the in­jured Egyp­tian to the hospi­tal while the Kuwaiti who caused the ac­ci­dent was re­ferred for in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to the Kuwaiti, he was sur­prised when the vic­tim crossed the road sud­denly and he could not con­trol his ve­hi­cle.

A case was regis­tered and the nec­es­sary le­gal ac­tion was taken against the Kuwaiti.

In another in­ci­dent, a speed­ing ve­hi­cle hit an uniden­ti­fied man in Maidan Hawally and sus­tained in­juries and bruises in dif­fer­ent parts of his body.

At­tack­ers held:

Three cit­i­zens who at­tacked some of­fi­cers in Dha­her area in a re­cent video that went vi­ral on so­cial me­dia have been taken into cus­tody by of­fi­cers from Pub­lic Se­cu­rity Sec­tor, says Al-Seyas­sah.

A se­cu­rity source said the three sus­pects had es­caped af­ter their ar­rest and the of­fi­cers re­quested backup. He ex­plained that pa­trol­men ar­riv­ing at the scene to sup­port the of­fi­cers crashed with the sus­pects’ ve­hi­cle in a hot chase, dur­ing which two of the sus­pects man­aged to es­cape. The third per­son was ar­rested and de­tained, while the other two were ap­pre­hended later. A case was regis­tered.

Of­fi­cials abused:

Three in­spec­tors af­fil­i­ated to the Traf­fic De­part­ment in Jabriya area ac­cused two Kuwaiti cit­i­zens of ver­bally abus­ing all three of them dur­ing a quar­rel. A case was regis­tered, says Al-Seyas­sah.

A se­cu­rity source said they re­jected the ap­pli­ca­tions of the two cit­i­zens, be­cause they didn’t meet spec­i­fi­ca­tions and their trans­ac­tions couldn’t be com­pleted as a re­sult. A case was regis­tered.
