Decision issued after consultation
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: Removal of the temporary mosque in Sulaibiya was a unanimous decision taken by the Cabinet in the presence of HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and all ministers, reports Al-Rai daily quoting Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Subaih.
Asked who is responsible for the removal of the mosque, AlSubaih stressed that she did not take the decision as she is not the awqaf minister. She explained the decision was issued two months ago while Kuwait Municipality implemented it last week.
She reiterated that the Cabinet issued the decision after consultations during its meeting two months ago with the premier and all ministers in attendance. She also emphasized the need to respect laws and ministerial resolutions.
