KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The Cen­tral Emer­gency Team af­fil­i­ated to the Of­fice of Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity, with the co­op­er­a­tion of Gen­eral Hy­giene and Road Works Depart­ment of Far­waniya Mu­nic­i­pal­ity, launched a com­pre­hen­sive field in­spec­tion cam­paign tar­get­ing make-shift mar­kets in Jleeb AlShuy­oukh area re­cently, re­ports Al-Qabas daily.

Deputy Head of the emer­gency team Me­shal Al-Ma­lik af­firmed that the cam­paign was part of the plan to con­tinue field cam­paigns by reg­u­la­tory ap­pa­ra­tuses in all gov­er­norates in or­der to re­move ev­ery­thing that dis­torts the pub­lic ap­pear­ance as well as to mon­i­tor and elim­i­nate all neg­a­tive as­pects such as ran­dom, makeshift mar­kets set up by street hawk­ers.

He re­vealed that the cam­paign, which lasted for seven con­tin­u­ous hours in Jleeb Al-Shuy­oukh area, re­sulted in the lift­ing of 4 truck­loads of used clothes and food items that were deemed un­fit for hu­man con­sump­tion, as well as re­moval of 35 sheep cor­rals.

Al-Ma­lik stressed that the aim of the field cam­paigns is to re­move clear en­croach­ments on state prop­er­ties and elim­i­nate all vi­o­la­tions to the law re­lated to hy­giene and road works.
