‘Pay fines, take seized cars’

An aban­doned ve­hi­cle is lifted away by the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity. Far­waniya Mu­nic­i­pal­ity’s Depart­ment of Pub­lic Hy­giene and Road Oc­cu­pancy con­tin­ued to or­ga­nize field cam­paigns cov­er­ing all ar­eas of the gover­norate as part of the wide cam­paign launched by Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity ti­tled “With Your Co­op­er­a­tion, We Make It Beau­ti­ful”, re­ports Al-Seyas­sah daily.

Di­rec­tor of the depart­ment Saud Al-Harbi ex­plained that the cam­paign re­sulted in the lift­ing of 18 ne­glected cars, con­fis­ca­tion of one ton of old fur­ni­ture, elec­tronic sets and scrap and is­suance of 12 ci­ta­tions against street ven­dors in Jleeb Al-Shuy­oukh area.

Prior to lift­ing the cars, warn­ing stick­ers were placed on them in or­der to give the own­ers of those cars the op­por­tu­nity to re­move them.

Al-Harbi af­firmed that the lifted cars will not be re­leased un­til the fines are paid.
